As we slowly say hello to 2022, it’s a great time to reflect and look back at the year (whether good or bad). Here are my 5 lessons learned and moments I was grateful for in 2021.
- Health is Wealth
There have been a lot of health scares in my family in the last couple of years. Some have beaten cancer, while others, are now long haulers to the after affects of Covid. You never the know the hand you are dealt and with this new variant on the loose, you can never be too careful.
That’s why at the end of the day, if you don’t have your health you don’t have anything. I’m so grateful that I am healthy and in 2022 will look to increase my mental and physical wellness every chance I get. - Strong Support System
I’m so grateful that I have friends and family that at a drop of a hat will come and support me. When my mother got sick, it was my extended family that helped and supported her. When I needed more emotional support, it was my friends who would send me texts, videos, posts to cheer me up. In addition to famiily and friends, I’m grateful for all the individuals that helped me with my properties. From renovations, to management to sales. Having people that you trust is so key to growing a successful empire:) - Just Do It
It’s so interesting how people do so much waiting, thinking, planning and research. It might be my tolerance to high-risk, mostly if it has to deal with me, but if I didn’t make quick decisions when it came to buying property, or bringing my mother to the hospital or just saying yes to opportunities, my life would be pretty boring. If you want to grow, you have to get very comfortable with being very uncomfortable. It also has to do with the above, if you surround yourself with the right people you will only succeed, because the people around you will want to see and help you succeed. - Manifest
I am a huge dreamer and I love thinking about the future. If you follow Abraham Hicks or believe in the law of attraction, what you think, vision and believe in, is practically done. You also have to align yourself with opportunities for all the good things to happen for you. I always wanted a cottage by the beach, and this year it happened. I wanted to make more money, I landed a tenant and a new job. I wish I could say it was that easy, but sometimes, it is. So I’m grateful that things some how always work out for me. - Mindset
Lastly, in order to manifest you have to have the right mindset. You actually have to believe in possibility. If you constantly live in fear, you will never achieve all the things you want to achieve. The greatest mistake we have on this earth is thinking we have time. So this year, I will continue to put all the positive vibes out there in the universe and believe in the impossible. it’s the only way to live.
