Five multidisciplinary development teams have been shortlisted to imagine transformative concepts for the Pier 8 lands in Hamilton. The group of architects and builders are now presenting their detail proposals for the 5.24-hectare waterfront site that the City is banking on turning into a mixed-use community overflowing with residential, commercial and institutional space.
The upcoming urban neighbourhood is set to contain approximately 1,500 residential units and 13,000 square metres of commercial and institutional space, all served by over 1,400 parking spaces. The shortlisted bidders — a mix of local firms and partners based in the Greater Toronto Area — come with an arsenal of experience. The teams headed to the next stage of the competitive process:
