For the second consecutive year, TAS participated in Ride for Heart 2014 on June 1st. Ride for Heart is a fantastic fundraiser for the Heart and Stroke Foundation, and this year’s TAS team consisted of 8 riders who cumulatively pedaled for a total of 400 kilometers.
Each year, riders have the option of selecting the distance they cycle. For TAS’s one brave rider who chose to go for 75 km, the ride began bright at early at 6am. For the rest of the team, 25km and 50km were distances of choice. Regardless of your range and start time, biking on Gardiner Expressway and DVP with no cars in sight is an amazing experience. The feeling of riding among 14,000 other bikers for the same cause was overwhelming. We all biked to make a change for more healthy lives free of heart disease and stroke. We’re so glad to have been part of this event and to have spend a great morning ruling the road.
