I’m Richelle Sibolboro — a storyteller, brand builder, marketing strategist, and design thinker committed to creating experiences that inspire belonging and drive lasting impact.

With over 15 years of experience growing and differentiating recognizable Canadian brands, I specialize in crafting compelling value propositions, building systems-driven strategies, and telling brand stories that move diverse audiences to action.

Today, I lead ventures at the intersection of marketing, media and design, creating platforms and places that shape the future of how we live, travel, and connect.

My Journey

My career began in media and storytelling, expanding the reach of global design culture through editorial leadership roles.

As Managing Editor of Open City Projects, Communications Lead at World Design Weeks and Digifest, and Editor for Designboom and Azure Magazine, I built an international reputation for curating design narratives that mattered. Landing major interviews with creative visionaries like Philippe Starck, Lenny Kravitz, Ron Arad, and Bjarke Ingels.

I also spearheaded branded partnerships with iconic brands such as Mini Cooper, Nike, and Hypebeast, blending editorial excellence with business strategy.

Recognizing that real influence is built on systems and innovation, I completed my Master’s Degree at the Institute of Art, Design + Technology in Dublin, Ireland. My thesis explored the Architecture Biennale of the Future, a visionary framework for cultural storytelling and spatial experience.

Along the way, I led marketing and communications initiatives for top architecture firms and technology brands, refining my ability to distill complex relationships into holistic, influential strategy, design, and communications. All while keeping an eye for meaningful detail.

Do Her Thing is a podcast that explores how people redesign their lives, identities, and environments in response to disruption, trauma, and change. Grounded in design thinking, storytelling, and lived experience, the platform examines design as a method for personal, social, and spatial transformation.
