Design Aid and the Q’enco Project

Fostered a new form of economic sustainability to a Peruvian village of 275 people through handmade textiles. Analyzed and reviewed the existing production methods identifying innovative ways to enhance the quality of the material. Researched colour trends, patterns and textiles in the Canadian market targeting the Toronto lifestyle.
Translated the traditional Peruvian textile history into a 12 piece contemporary collection and showcased it to an international audience through exhibitions and presentations. View process and final pieces here.
